Someone might remember me from all those years ago when I sailed as a Deck Officer, 1964-79, before joining the ports industry as a Harbour Master & Port Superintendent with Associated British Ports, first at Millbay docks, Plymouth (from where I joined my first ship Wave Knight in 1964), and then at Silloth, in Cumbria. Retired from all that a couple of years ago aged 65 but still enjoy piloting ships through the Solway Firth, to and from Silloth.
